Customer Reviews

The installation:
With the chips, technically, the printer won't recognize this is not a Canon print head. However, after two days of replacement, I began to see error u052. The printer refused to recognize either my old original ink heads nor this ink set you are watching. I switched them and tried different combinations, printer won't work. Here's my solution, it might not be universal: turn off the printer and turn on. Before the system completely loaded, open the ink cartridge cover. Wait the screen displays a message says you opened the cover. Then Release the cover, the printer should come back. During a few minites of initiallation, my printer was shouting.. I believe the sound is different from using the original ink. After installed, I printed a couple of pages and pictures.

The print quality:
B&W: B&W pages are just okay. Compare with the original Canon ink, it's less solid, less sharp and less black. Feel like water in it. It does the job though! for the price!

Colors: colors are completely messed up. They probably used the wrong tag! the red and blue are switched! sometimes it gives me red hair... like half red half black and the rest of them are rainbow color... All I got are funny colored pictures and photos. The photos printed by using this ink I call them - TRASH! None of them is even OK, and the photos are not sharp at all! Plus the wrong color makes it much worse!

Overall:
The packege is decent and it works for B&W pages. However, don't dream about color printing... it won't do it.
if the colors worked I would give a two or three stars because the colors are not good. I should refill it by other good inks.
Moreover, I believe the ink will damage my printer because the terrible quality. However, after a refill I believe it's gonna be OK.

I would recommend it if refill is ready. The pigment is just too bad. According to another reviewer, the wrong tag problem might not be universal, take your chance?

Not recommend to most Canon users, the OEM ink head is perfect (and expensive). The decision is yours.

Cartridges work well in the printer, no glitches. They look convenient to refill, and good quality refill ink is readily available. The blue is lighter than OEM, or my refill stock. Cartridges were mailed all dumped together unboxed in a padded mailing envelope, and a little of the ink squeezed out into the sealing caps.
I have only used this ink for one day in our Canon Pixma ip4820 printer. However, here is what I can pass along, which may be helpful for people looking for inexpensive ink cartridges, in order of importance: 1) The chips work! Each cartridge has a chip, and you simply can not use aftermarket cartridges without having a chip on them. I have bought other replacement cartridges, which actually cost more than these cartridges, and they did not have chips, and you have to use an exacto knife to cut out the old chips and install them in these cartridges. That is a bit of a pain, and I had one of these cartridges that did not work, and I could never get it to work. That is why I started looking for cartridges that already had the chips, and how I ended up here. 2) Ink is fine so far. I have printed black and white and also color print, and both looked fine from the very first copy. Also, I did check the level of ink via the printer maintenance software on my computer, and that works fine. All the cartridge lights are all on, and the computer registers the ink level as full. I do not know yet about the quality of color on photos, which is not a big deal for us since we seldom print pictures, but everything that I have checked out so far has worked fine. And the price is great. I definitely plan on buying these cartridges again in the future.
I put both the black inks in my Canon MG5220 printer and the print is so bad that I can't read the page. I put Canon ink cartridges in and the print is fine. What is the problem? Is this some sort of a rip off ink company?
I feel like I took a chance buying third-party ink for my Canon MG5220 printer. But with Canon's prices (around $50 for a refill), and kids in the house printing reams on a daily basis, I needed a cheap refill.

These cartridges are a bit flimsy so be careful when you prep and load them into the printer. But once in, they perform beautifully. I can't tell the difference between these and Canon ink. Is there a difference? Probably. Does it matter to me? Probably not. They get the job done just fine.

Happy printing!
Ever since I had to replace the original Canon ink cartridges in my Canon MX882 printer, I have been buying and using these cartridges. Although they cost considerably less than the Canon brand replacements, I've had very satisfactory results both with documents and with high-resolution photographs printed on Canon's glossy photo paper. Being a serious photographer for more than 40 years, I believe that I have a critical eye for quality and I frankly don't see any difference in the results from these cartridges compared with the Canon brand for either documents or photos. I have not been using these cartridges long enough to observe whether photos printed with this ink will fade any faster than photos printed with Canon ink. For the difference in cost, however, I could print any faded photos again and probably still be ahead.
Yes, they are refillable and work with resetter that is available from Amazon.
Enjoy the following procedures if you are printing a lot lot of photos like me and refill the cartridges by yourself is absolutely necessary. They also work for the cartridges that come with Canon MX882.
These cartridges have clear housing that allows you to see the level of ink inside. Each cartridge consists of front and rear chambers. The front chamber has sponge inside and a circular opening at the bottom to supply the ink to the printer. While the rear chamber serves as the reservoir for ink.
The procedures of refilling the cartridge, that I have been using, seem work well and pretty easy.
Step 1: use disposable gloves to protect your hands.
Step 2: drill a pin hole on the top of rear chamber by using the hand drill that comes with the inks.
Step 3: use one finger to press against and seal the circular opening at the bottom of the font chamber before refilling the ink.
Step 4: inject the ink through the pin hole from the top and make sure that the needle touches the bottom of the rear chamber inside so that the air can vent through the pin hole easily.
Step 5: wait for few seconds when the rear chamber is full since the ink will move to the front chamber to wet the sponge.
Step 6: when the ink level of the rear chamber stop dropping, fill the ink to the top again.
Step 7: use a small amount of silicone, which is being used to seal the window or other projects at home, on the top of the pin hole. Silicone is waterproof and soft and can be removed easily for next refill. Ink is water base so silicone will not mix with ink.
Step 8: use scotch tape to tape over silicon on the top of the pin hole.
Step 9: turn over the cartridge so that the excess ink stays at the circular opening area. rinse with water to remove the ink from the glove.
Step 10: hold the cartridge with the circular opening facing down and tap the cartridge against paper towel until no ink shown on the towel.
Step 11: it is ready for reset by using the resetter.
Step 12: good luck and enjoy it.

When I first got these five toners, I installed the yellow which is the only one I needed at the time. A drip of yellow ink dripped on my skirt, but when I left a note on this review about it, the company immediately sent me a new toner. The value of these five toners is only a fraction of the name-brand toners, but they are working well. I really appreciate the company's attitude in resolving my complaint. The spot did come out of my skirt, and I'm sold on buying your toners forever for my printer. Thanks so much for offering us such an economical choice to keep our printers running. Keep up the good work.
I am more than happy with these inks. I have a new Canon 882 printer, which is excellent, but we all know the money for the manufacturers is in the inks they sell. Sorry guys, I'm not going to pay for this printer any more times than I have to. I found these inks to work just fine. I love the clear plastic reservoirs so I can actually see the level of ink. I don't use color charts to check the quality of my prints since I am not a professional photographer/printer. My work does involve presentations with pictures and I do have to be careful on glossy paper to allow drying time between printed sheets (do those one at a time and takes forever,) over all I am more than satisfied with these ink cartridges. In fact, I prefer them to Canon's inks. Would like more choices with the ink packs. I can't figure out how come a 5-pack is $8.18 and a 10-pack is $20?? How about a packing insert so I can order more?
This is an awesome product for the price. I have a MG5220 Canon Printer and it is very expensive to replace the cartidges. This does the job for your daily printing needs. I also printed a couple pictures using the Shiny coated prints and the pictures were great with these cartridges. Only problem is ink may come out from the top. It did not happen to me because I was very careful twisting the cap and inserting it into the printer.
This ink has worked very well. I was skeptical at first, but it does the job and cannot beat the price!
Just replaced my original Canon ink carts with these non-OEM carts. These work fine, no problem with being recognized by printer. Initial print seems to actually show a darker black (though only subtle) than the original Canon carts. I did not some negative comments about these carts and what is probably a VERY important variable it the seller. Being non-OEM these are subject to being produced by whoever and however the particular vendor wants. The carts I purchased were sold by ECOOLMART.

FOR THOSE WHO POST REVIEWS..... It would be very helpful when people post their reviews on these carts that the note the seller. The sellers of quality carts will then be recognized with receiving our hard earned dollars for their sales.
These cartridges work great in my Canon Pixma MX882 printer and they are much much less expensive than the Canon Brand Cartridge. Their customer service is great. I will definitely continue to purchase these replacement cartridges. My printer recognizes the cartridges and they work just the same as the originial cartridges.
The shipment came very quickly. However, these inks don't work for my printer. My Canon PIXMA MX-882 recognizes the inks catridges. I replace all 5 ink cartridges at once with these. The printer printed but the color is way off. I print a pattern sheet and found that only Cyan is printed. Magenta, Yellow and Black are not show in the the pattern sheet even the priner said all inks are full. Try deep cleaning 2 times (It consumes a lot of inks) but didn't solve the problem. Try to run head alignment 3 times and printer said fail each time.
I have the canon MX 882. It gets detected however the ink is discolored. printed images are nowhere close to the actual image. They should NOT sell this product at all. All my printed images have purple tint. Is there a way to adjust it? I've never seen such terrible colors from a picture printer before. I never write reviews but this ink is a waste of money. Now I have to buy the real Canon cartridges.

The company just called. They are sending me a replacement. I will remove negative feedback once the new one works. I give them a two star for calling.

Dec 13 update:
I got the new shipment. It looks like certain color was not being detected. It does not show up on the print test page. It only happened when I installed the new cartridges. I did the clean feature. It may worked. But then it disappeared again. Cleaned it again, then it worked. Hopefully, it did not mess up my printer.

This review is really for the ink and not for the seller. The seller is greate.
So far I have had absolutely no problems with these ink cartridges. They have been a great, much cheaper replacement set for my Canon Pixma MG5200 printer. I would definitely purchase these again.
This is probably the worse so called ink. I only changed out the 225 black and the blue but I had to put my empty's back in just to finish some printing I needed. I thought I was saving money but I had to go into my settings and adjust everything to the darkest setting so the black print didn't have the purple gray hue. I still can't get the blue to show. If "you get what you pay for" every fit, this is it. Time to reorder ink, again. Looks like saving money just cost me. I did ship nicely sealed in air tight packages.
The product was just as described , the shipping was very fast .I am completely satisfied with the purchase and the quality of the product and the price.
I received my ink from amazon and went home to try it out. Installlation was a breeze and I was printing in no time. There is no special requirements with this ink cartdrige just open the box pull the tape off the end & the orange tab pop it in the printer done! I do suggets auto align the head and do a test print just to get some of the loose ink from the tip of the ink case. Printer I have is a cannon mg5520. Good luck! one important thing.... when u open the orange tab be very careful I noticed that when I opened mine there was a couple of drops in the cap. & picture quality was great!
I have a new Canon printer/scanner and have used it heavily. I bought these as an alternative to more expensive Canon ink cartridges which now looks like a complete mistake on my part. I have just had the black cartridge "explode" ink all over both hands, my desk, papers and most significantly, my new carpeting. The carpet will never be the same again.
This happened as I was carefully removing the orange cover. I have done this operation many, many times with Canon products, but never has there been any leakage from the cartridge. This cartridge shot black ink from under the orange cap and it continues to pour out if I move it. And the orange cap is not even completely twisted off!
Never again!
I just wanted to chime in about this ink. I read reviews saying how the colors were way off and the printer gave errors messages and I almost didn't buy them. The good reviews caused me to go ahead and order and I am so glad I did. I installed the cartridges today, all the colors and the color black all at the same time so that I would be printing with all the new inks. The results are nothing short of outstanding. At first I was getting very washed out colors and nothing looked like the original photo until I counted the tape pieces that I was supposed to remove BEFORE installing and found I only had three, there should have been four. I looked in the printer and sure enough I forgot to take the tape off of the yellow cartridge. I removed the tape and WOW. If I really stare at two exact photos, one from the OEM ink and one from these inks I can not tell the difference. It's that good. If you are getting washed out colors or something different do a color check on your printer and see if one color isn't printing. Also be sure you're using good paper. I bought some from the local dollar store and the pictures seemed to be very washed out even with the OEM ink. I got some four star Epson glossy paper and now the photos look just like those from the local photo lab. I've shown them to many people and they swear I got them from a lab and didn't print them myself. I am very, very happy with these inks. I can now afford to use my printer to make prints at will without worrying about the cost. Thanks Amazon.
I'm a first time user but until now, there is no big difference between the original product and this. I recommend it.
These cartridges are adequate for non-professional printing. The colors may be slightly off from manufacturer but I honestly couldn't tell too much of a difference. For basic printing it was great to find a product so much cheaper than OEM. The chips work for the most part. Rarely it will tell me one isn't recognized, in which case I take the cartridge out and then put it right back in and it fixes the problem.
I had read the reviews from other people and decided to take a chance. the price was so low I wondered how gooD they woulD be but the name brand is so expensive and doesn't last that I thought it was worth the try. They are excellent and i will continue to order them again.
I purchased the ink cartridges only for the chips, therefore I have no comment on the cartridges or ink. Previous users state that the chips are resettable so I am going to transfer them to Canon OEM 220/221 clear cartridges for refill use in my MX882 that uses the 225/226 opaque cartridges since both cartridges are the same size. Hopefully they will reset with a resetter as others have indicated.
The ink cartridges look and work identically to the original canon cartridges. Easy to install... I do not see any obvious differences. Significantly less expensive option - I would highly recommend purchasing these comparted to the ripoff cost of the Canon replacement cartridges.
This pack is so good for print documents and draft things, if you need to pring photos or image where you will need a very good quality of the image please get the original ones, while this pack is really good.
The product was as described and came promply and it was packaged carefully. Very good service. What else can you say about computer ink?
Bottom line: Easy installation, lights light up, ink levels register properly, pages (including photos on photo paper) print just as good as with OEM ink, all for way less $$. I'd be more willing to buy the pricier Canon ink if it were somewhat less exorbitant in cost. Just my opinion.

I received the cartridges extremly fast and so far have only put the black pigmented and magenta in... they worked as stated, ... I have the mx-882 and have only put in 2 of them so far but they worked ok... they have a bigger red light and show 100% ink... im wondering if they can be reset with a chip resetter... they are clear (a plus to me) so they would be real easy to refill... i was going to order some more of them today but they ran out (fulfilled by amazon) it was $9 and I got the free 2 day shipping from my friend who has that plan... took 2 days as promised...good luck you never know... the rest of them may not work but so far so good! opps I see they are being fulfilled by amazon again for $8.99. I wish I knew if the chips are resettable or just one time use... I only gave 4 stars because i've only tried 2 of the cartridges... if they are all the same quality I would have to rate at 5 stars.

Come on has anyone reset the chips in these cartridges and or refilled them???
